Privacy policy and terms of service for the Medhayate Android app
Last updated: 7 October 2026
These terms cover your use of the Medhayate Android application (“the app”). By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use.
The app is provided free of charge. There are no accounts, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no advertising.
You may not copy, modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, redistribute, rent, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the app or any part of it, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.
The app’s source code is proprietary and is not licensed for reuse.
Medhayate allows 15 minutes of play in any 5-hour window, adjustable between 5 and 20 minutes in Settings, and closes the game when that is used up. This is a deliberate design choice, not a trial, a fault, or a restriction that can be purchased away. Nothing is unlocked by paying, because there is nothing to pay for.
The limit is a self-control aid rather than a security control. It relies on the device’s clock, and changing that clock changes the app’s behaviour. It is not designed to be tamper-proof and should not be relied upon as parental-control software.
The app explains the reasoning behind its hints, and states plainly when a suggestion is proven versus when it is a best guess within a limited search. Hints are provided for learning and enjoyment. They are not a guarantee of any particular result.
The app collects nothing and transmits nothing. See the Privacy Policy.
Records and settings are stored only on your device. They are not backed up. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data, or resetting your device deletes them permanently, and they cannot be recovered.
The app is provided as-is and as-available. There is no commitment to release updates, to maintain compatibility with future versions of Android, or to keep the app available for download. Updates may change, add, or remove features, including games.
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability — whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential, including loss of data or records — arising from or in connection with the app or its use.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects your statutory consumer rights.
“Medhayate”, “मेधायते”, and the Medhayate logo are trademarks of the developer.
The games in the app are traditional games, referred to here by their names — Chess, Four in a Row, Lamps and Walls, Mahjong Solitaire, Minesweeper, Nim, Nine Stones, Nonogram, Oware, Pairs, Reversi, One of Each, Tic-Tac-Toe, Tower of Hanoi, and Word Guess. No affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from any third-party rights holder is claimed or implied.
Some of those are the ordinary or generic term for the game. The rest — Four in a Row, Pairs, Word Guess, Lamps and Walls, One of Each and Nine Stones — are plain descriptions of what the game asks you to do, chosen deliberately in place of a name the game is sold under or registered by someone else.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Pune, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
These terms may be updated when the app changes. The date at the top will reflect the most recent revision, and continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
